LAMJUNG: A vehicular movement along Besisahar-Chame road section has been obstructed due to landslip today. The landslip occured in between Bungchahara and Ghatekhola in Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-4 in Lamjung district.
Suman Gurung Ward Chair of Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-4 said, “After incessant rainfall yesterday, swollen Marsyangdi river eroded the land causing landslip along the road section,” adding at least 70 metres of the road has been damaged.”
After the incident, vehicular movement, locals and tourists among others travelling along the road section have been affected.
One of the locals Som Bahadur Mijahar said, “The road has been badly damaged. People are making the perilous journey along the road.”
Earlier, landslides at Kote area near Manang district had obstructed vehicular movement along Besisahar-Chame road section for a week.
